Shade within boundaries

O n our spring trip to the Flint Hills, while passing through the town of St. Marys, we stopped to again photograph the Immaculata Chapel ruins. Destroyed in a major fire on November 8th 1978, what remains of the structure are native grey limestone walls featuring remnants of unique Gothic architecture. Addressing issues of time and cultural values, this image speaks to realities existent beyond human understanding. All things are subject to the perpetual forces of the universe.

“Life's not about dying in a perfectly preserved body; It's about getting to the end in a burnt out shell screaming "WOAH! What a ride!” - Mahttma Ghandi.
