Adornment significance

S mall flowers and shallow depth-of-field photographic explorations go together well. Shape and color becomes the abstracted subject, which of course has been expressed by many admirable artists, especially Georgia O'Keeffe. The color tones in her greatly magnified flower paintings are expansive and smoothly blended to assume a conceptual appearance. But just because a road has previously been traveled does not diminish the pleasure of new journeys and fresh eyes, to build on the past with innovative realization.

“I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for.” - Georgia O'Keeffe
