O
n my last day in Council Bluffs, I got up with the sun and quickly drove over to this scene in anticipation of visual possibilities. I had previously scouted the location and had a pre-visualized image formed in my minds-eye. Everything fell nicely into place, complete with a couple of flying black birds as an excellent impromptu bonus. The only downside was I had to hike though some oddly textured mud material to get into position, and it was arduous to clean the weird stuff off my boots. Some of it is still dried stuck to the break pedal of my truck. When I got back to the HOA conference, I attended a presentation on wedding photography.
