Shore Up

   Water line
Differential thaw
Dissolution

I was attracted to the color of the shallow water puddle resting on the ice surface along the Smithville Lake shoreline. On this day, I liked how the underlying white influenced the reflections. Shot at 12mm with the Sigma wide angle zoom, an integrated view of an intimate scene is well rendered. This lens imparts a distinctive optic effect which I am learning to deploy and appreciate.

“I think most of us are more comfortable when a photographer has a style than when doesn't. It is so reassuring to recognize an image before you read the label.” - Vicki Goldberg
