S hifting between capacious and diminutive observational modalities, image making is infinite in possibility. This inherent range in scope is both exhilarating and frustrating. The frustrating element is the recognition that many prospective images are left unrealized, primarily as a result of selective perception. We see what we are trained to see. Thus anything that an artist can do to transform the individual experiential framework will enhance awareness, deepen understanding and broaden communication potential.

“Everything went together perfectly, and this is what I mean by knowing. I didn't have to analyze anything. I just recognized what was in front of me. All I had to do was set up and take the picture.” - Wynn Bullock
