Coordinate Chaos

   Dynamical system
Agglomeration cluster
Collective hodgepodge

O ccasionally I find a scene which is an accidental jumbled mess of random stuff, but which can be visually organized by judicious composition. This is how I felt making this image on a recent trip to Kansas City on a gloomy gray day. I like the colors and geometrical shape associations and was most happy when I identified the potential and extracted it out of the confusion. A straightforward approach addressing the basic properties and relationships of regular and irregular geometric shapes in two and three dimensions, I am easily entertained.

“Not that the propositions of geometry are only approximately true, but that they remain absolutely true in regard to that Euclidean space which has been so long regarded as being the physical space of our experience.” - Arthur Cayley
