mbrace the trash. On a cold morning walk I paused to examine this dirty old muffler which apparently fell off a passing vehicle. There was frost highlighting the rough edge of an irregularly shaped hole that was eroded in the outer casing. The texture and color variations seemed to hold promise for an abstract treatment, and fortunately I had a close-focus lens along which allowed for the requisite framing. Something for nothing.
