orking both ends of the color saturation continuum, here is a primarily monochromatic image with just a hint of color. Many years ago I would achieve this effect by making a black and white photographic print on mat paper and applying a light patina of hue by using color pencils. A time consuming and laborious technique, the same result is now easily produced digitally with superior results. Some photographic practitioners, however, harbor the tenuous notion that the value of a work is directly proportional the amount of effort expended.
