C areful observation divulges imaging prospects during the closing stages of winter. Ten miles to the east of Warrensburg is Knob Noster State Park, an interesting mixture of prairie, savanna, forest, streams and lakes. Due to its proximity, I go there frequently and generally discover new creative potential on each occasion. It is a great place to test out new lens constructions, as is the case with this color study in opposing verticals and horizontals.

“Photography is like life... What does it all mean? I don't know - but you get an impression, a feeling.... An impression of walking through the street, walking through the park, walking through life. I'm very suspicious of people who say they know what it means.” - Leonard Freed
