he radiation modification that occurs as light traverses varying distances of atmospheric gases is a great source of beauty and inspiration. It is of course a challenge to make interesting photographs of a subject so frequently imaged, but I enjoy a good test of my artistic skills. My approach is to leave no stone unturned, and to take advantage of numerous opportunities. The motivation to make images frequently places me in advantageous locations and simply being present at the time of exposure engenders satisfaction.
