Night coverage
Dense fog advisory

W alking around in the enveloping fog just before dawn invokes a sense of calmness. Common familiar subjects generally ignored are often transformed into fascinating compositional possibilities. Foggy weather has the capacity to enable the photographer to create moody and sometimes extraordinary images. Colors alter and vapor particle scattering reduces depth perception. Bright artificial light sources become diffused radiance defined by dark mysterious silhouetted shapes. I always experience a jolt of excitement when waking up in a fog bank.

“Derive happiness in oneself from a good day's work, from illuminating the fog that surrounds us.” - Henri Matisse
