Contrition

   Sorrow arising
Sincere penitence
Gradual diminution

S tone walls remain as evidence of prior ritualistic behavior patterns. One recurring cult manifestation is the preservation of relics specified as sacred places on which religious attention is centered. This surviving icon seems a viable candidate for such treatment but is largely ignored. Perhaps what we need here is a vision, apparition, miracle or other occurrence worthy of pilgrimage commemoration.

“The less reasonable a cult is, the more men seek to establish it by force.” - Jean-Jacques Rousseau
