alking home late on a winter's day, the bright sun illuminated and isolated neighborhood essentials by playing off of planer geometry and angular surface orientation. Perfect conditions for my homemade 200mm soft focus monocle lens, capable of rendering very soft luminous images while holding sharp detail. This effect technically is the result of a single element uncorrected positive meniscus lens allowing spherical aberration to become a pictorial asset.
