Leavings

   Residual remainder
Part of the scenery
Beyond repair

A pproximately twenty miles west of Topeka on U.S. Highway 24 is the small town of St. Mary's. And within the boundaries of the town is St. Mary's Academy & College, originally constructed by Jesuits on the site of an old mission dating from 1848. The center piece of the historical buildings was destroyed in the 1970's by fire, but the stone wall remnants are visually arresting. Shot at 18mm, I am now into an extreme wide angle phase and just ordered a new 12mm focal length lens to stretch out even further.
