treets are cluttered with statements of the obvious. Signs communicate meaning relative to context. The trailer attached to this caution sign has not moved for months, so in this case a turn of any dimensional arc is an improbable hazard. But if a wide turn was immanent or being executed, this tiny sign probably would serve as ineffectual warning. Almost certainly it is gambit to shift responsibility of any potential damage incurred by operational tribulations off the rig driver/owner and on to the rest of us. Perhaps it represents the fear of litigation.
“At some point we've got to stop asking ourselves what is the meaning of everything, maybe it's not so very important what it means. It's probably more important what the sense of it is, they are two very basic and different things.” - Tony Cragg
