Heavy Metal Thunder | Rebel against nothing Contend for dominance Onslaught of sound |
O
n a recent field trip, riding in the center of the second-row bench seat in a crowded van, my access to “drive-by-shooting” was severely limited. But I could make images with a long lens shooting out the front windshield. So I experimented with combining a motion blur with a defocused catadioptric technique to see if anything might materialize. A noisy group of motorcycle riders and a curvilinear road offered the most serviceable result. The immediate feedback of digital photography means that research and associated discoveries can advance at an unprecedented pace.
