n my daily walk to work the familiar is passed by regularly. But this combination of differential radiation absorption presented itself for only one morning. All the leaves of the foreground tree had fallen by the time of my return trip home later that evening. Damp conditions and a steady wind contributed to the transformation. Handheld I made two exposures, one sharp and one defocused, and then blended them together approximately equally. The slight crook in the tree trunk is a nice compositional touch.
