Passing Storm

   Sudden brilliance
Vibrant contrast
Wet saturation

A s much as I enjoy traveling and photographing new and unfamiliar locations, I also enjoy photographing close to home. Revisiting the same subjects over time and finding fresh ways to interpret the familiar remains an ongoing assignment. To excel in any endeavor requires sustained commitment. By making images frequently with a conscience effort to stretch and explore the boundaries of the discipline, growth and development are nurtured. A certain physic orientation manifests when I am in tune with the environment and sensations engender enhanced perception. Like an athlete, to perform at a perceptually high level requires a massive investment in practice time and devotion to the cause.

“It is doubtful if any artist can ever have enough technical knowledge; problems are constantly arising which demand acquaintance with various processes other than the accustomed ones, and the worker of limited knowledge must leave such problems unsolved or be only partly successful in their treatment.” - Paul Anderson
