endering the mythological nonexistent west of our dreams, here I made a composite of three separate shots captured from the moving vehicle during the Santa Fe trip. On such a long journey, over 2000 miles on the road, there is ample time to practice “drive-by-shooting.” Although conditions are less than ideal for precision photography, images can be acquired that otherwise would be missed. A side benefit is that equipment skill and reaction time are honed, while novel post production techniques can be explored. This might be the inspiration for a new course proposal.
