robably all of us on the trip made a photograph similar to this image of the porches fronting most Fort Larned structures. With wonderfully geometric and symmetrical converging lines and great textural variety, this was an obvious picture opportunity. The white rectangle in the center resulting from a brightly lit break between two similar buildings was something of a surprise, and helps to distinguish the shot. Balancing the exposure across a wide luminance range to render textural detail throughout was a little tricky.
