Leaning water tower

A lso in Groom Texas near the giant cross (featured on latentsifier several days ago) is an old leaning water tower which currently serves only as a roadside landmark relic located on a stretch of interstate that was once a part of US Route 66. Originally a functioning water tower which was slated for demolition, local entrepreneur Ralph Britten bought it and moved it to serve as an attraction for his truck stop and tourist information center. The truck stop is long gone, but the tower remains.

“Route 66 is revved up good entertainment that redefines the term 'road show.'” - Tucson Weekly
