   A Salute to the
Texas Oilfield
Industrial Park

T exas is not my favorite place. Having lived there twice, once while in the Naval fight training program in Corpus Christi and once again working for Clarke Printing in San Antonio, I have some firsthand experience with the state. But I had never been in the panhandle before and was impressed with the small hamlet of Canadian. The settlement is clean and appears prosperous while the surrounding landscape is interestingly varied. The size of Texas prohibits simple categorization of the entire state. This shot was made from the truck window just outside of town.
