am not sure why, but I like the manifestation of bent, twisted, mangled rebar hanging out of concrete. Rebar is the surface patterned steel bar having rib protrusions to provide a greater interface bond in reinforced concrete. Here its raged appearance plays nicely against the precise window grid of the skyscraper backdrop.
