oday's capture incorporates concepts from two continuing parallel but different image series: “Within the Lines” and “Posts”. “Within the Lines” is about painted symbols and directional or positional markings on highways and parking lots that help us to find our way. “Posts” is about sturdy barriers erected to protect private property from errant vehicular damage. Through repetitive acculturation we learn to associate specific stimuli with ritualized responses.
“Pavlovian Conditioning is said to occur when a previously neutral stimulus, such as a tone or light that normally is of little interest to the organism, becomes associated with an already existing reflex to the extent that it will, by itself, evoke a response.” - Tom Creed
