ld faded signs painted on the sides of brick buildings are interesting. Whenever and wherever I find them I record them. Generally the original message no longer is applicable, as the product or service advertised has disappeared. Perhaps that is part of the appeal – these cryptic symbols are visually shifting time indicators, pointing back to an earlier existence while displaying the constant passage of time.
