ounds of silence. The bright colored lights from the Sonic Drive-In cast illumination on the early spring foliage of these trees at twilight. Setting exposure in the middle of an open field behind my tripod, I was astonished at Warrensburg's noise pollution - a small town in western Missouri that sounds like an inner city ghetto. Most of the noise emanating from excessive vehicular traffic; thumping bass from ridiculous car music systems, car exhaust schemes designed to emanate a thunderous distracting racket, squealing tires and piercing sirens from emergency vehicles rushing to nonexistent urgent situations. The acculturated locals seem to accept this obnoxious aural saturation as normal.
