igh plains vagrant. There is a strong appeal associated with certain characteristics of drifter mythology. An escape route from anything is always instantly available. The promise of an approachable and eternally new horizon offers an alluring reference frame. Also the simplicity of few possessions coupled with a lack of responsibility provides a sense of freedom rarely realized. I wonder about the magnitude of the current North American hobo population. I might have pursued this career path, except that I like to shower daily.
