S patial relationships are endlessly fascinating. Large cities offer wonderful opportunities to explore the juxtapositions of the near and far, the small and large, the old and new. Each metropolis contains familiar elements of similarity and individual features of uniqueness. Although my visits to Kansas City are infrequent, they are always visually stimulating and result in a bountiful crop of artistic raw material.
