Branch Bank

Channel of access
Relative value

M any institutions use architecture to express their cultural message. In this regard, banks are an interesting example. Older banks generally were built as solid imposing edifices sparing no expense in materials or workmanship. They shouted “here is where the money is and it is protected.” Modern branch banks also are relatively expensive structures, but now they are flashy, with lots of showy elements designed to make them stand out amongst the roadside clutter. With the convenience of online banking, customers can now access their financial resources virtually anywhere, anytime, reducing the viability of retail banking.
