Two Trees

   Bare branches almost over
Salient double monologue
Silhouette soliloquy

T his landscape was quickly captured out an automobile window while traveling north on route 13. I used a newly assembled lens that features overall spherical aberration and edge effects, including light fall-off and distortion. It is interesting to alternate between ultra sharp modern lenses and homemade optics.
One of the things I enjoy in winter is the revelation of the shapes and growth patterns of trees. This view of the world will soon be transformed. The plant buds are now swelling, and some early adapters are beginning to show a little green. Presently the race will be on to compete for radiant energy.
