New China Buffet

   Trough feeding
Kids eat free every Saturday
One child per adult under ten

N ot many adults under ten have children, but for those that do this food offer may entice. My interest is in the visual relationships of the facades and not questionable nourishment. I see this diptych as a study in basic linear shapes, with verticals playing off horizontals.

The two structures are in close physical proximity and are similar in construction. The top one is storing deteriorating boxes and has some kind of active biological culture flourishing in its interior. This can be seen by the scum coating the inside glass of the door. Take a look here for a close-up.

“Photography is like fishing. You go out in the morning with no idea of what the trip will bring. Sometimes luck is on your side and all your crab pots are full of prime Lobsters. Other times you get nothing.” - Bob Croxford
