Exhaust Port

A s conditions change, both external and internal, reality shifts. Frequent visitors to Latentsifier know I enjoy returning to the same entity and location to render different interpretations. Generally I don't start out with a plan to treat a subject in this manor, but rather gradually over time discover I have accumulated a series of images. Once identified as a developing series, opportunities for extension become actively engaged.

I am fortunate to find objects and environs within close proximity amenable to temporal exploration. This old concrete chimney is only about a block from my home. The more I study it, the more intriguing it becomes. It reminds me of sculptural art in the round, viewable from any direction. Perhaps if located in a different venue, it would be considered monumental.

“There are three forms of visual art: Painting is art to look at, sculpture is art you can walk around, and architecture is art you can walk through.” - Dan Rice
