Y esterday I got an email from my friend Greg Lee, who wrote; “Is half of where you live in ruins? These photos remind me of those movies or Twilight Zone that had a nuclear war and what is left is what you photograph.”
This prompted me to think about photographic subject matter, and review my images from the last several weeks. I certainly do capture plenty of objects that show the effects of time, and how things age. I see this as a natural process that is interesting. But I can understand how others might find it depressing. So I will be on the lookout for more cheerful subjects. Spring should help.

“Nothing happens when you sit at home. I always make it a point to carry a camera with me at all times...I just shoot at what interests me at that moment.” - Elliott Erwitt
