Pin Oak #4

   Clinging leaves
Retained all winter
Back light radiance

L ooks like I have a new series started: images shot from my porch. In the front yard are two Pin Oak trees that have the characteristic of holding on to their dried-up leaves until spring. This is an interesting anomaly which is hard to explain from an evolutionary viewpoint. It does provide a measure of privacy for the house year-round, and is interesting to observe over time as weather conditions vary.

“Photography by nature is spiritual considering it comes from the darkness to show the light.” - Kevin Russo
