his is a section of shoreline on Truman Lake just south of Clinton. Truman Lake is an artificial water basin resulting from a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dam project which flooded 55,600-acres. At this location, groves of dead trees are partially submerged in the lake and rise above the surface. It is an interesting place to explore, but is rather disturbing. It seems that every time I visit this local the weather is overcast, cold, windy and damp. Even a desolate landscape can be a thing of beauty.
“It seems so utterly naive that the landscape is not considered of "social significance" when it has a far more important bearing on the human race of a given locale than excrescences called cities.” - Edward Weston
