Caboose

   End of the line
Conductor's office crew quarters
Museum display scrap relegation

T his is the back of the same railroad car that I posted earlier. Among rail crews the term for caboose was "crummy", because these cars were crude, uncomfortable, and frequently dirty. Although cabooses were once ubiquitous, their use has declined to virtual extinction primarily due to technological changes. As an outdoor exhibit, it may induce an observer to ponder the passage of time and the happenstance associated with temporal position.
