logical incompatibility between propositions occurs when inverse conclusions coexist. Contradictions may also arise between actions for which motives are assumed incongruous. Aristotle's law of noncontradiction alleges that “One cannot say of something that it is and that it is not in the same respect and at the same time.” Somehow all of this is reassuring.
