C ontinuing to search for images in my everyday environment, this one is a shot of the windows to the boiler room next to Grinstead. I pass by these windows just about every workday, but never before considered them as potential image fodder. Selective perception is a biological limitation photographers must deliberately overcome. This requires awareness practice. Awareness may be centered on internal visceral feelings or on external events fueled by sensory perception. Attentiveness provides the raw material from which artists develop subjective thoughts about experience.
