Stand in a space painted warm

O n a recent trip to Kansas City with Karen, we stopped at a shopping strip mall as a peripheral activity. While Karen ventured into the stores, I walked around outside and made images. Sometimes unlikely venues bear fruit. The translucent overhang covering the sidewalk along the store fronts caught my eye and this image was born. The lines, shapes, angles and colors all are interesting and good to look at. The lady at the apex adds contextual scale.

“My painting is visible images which conceal nothing; they evoke mystery and, indeed, when one sees one of my pictures, one asks oneself this simple question 'What does that mean'? It does not mean anything, because mystery means nothing either, it is unknowable.” - René Magritte
