e got an influx of Tamron lenses in for students to test during the month of October. This image was made with the telephoto zoom 200-500 F5-6.3 DI AF Lens, handheld at an aperture of 5.6 and a shutter speed of 1/60s. I put it on the Canon 5D that features a full frame CMOS sensor. It may be time to acquire more equipment.

My what beauty -- so crisp and clear over the backdrop of the misty, soft, and sublime.
what others say:
"I must see new things and investigate them.
I want to taste dark water and see crackling trees and wild winds." - Egon Schiele
"People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle.
But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air,
but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we
don't even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves,
the black, curious eyes of a child -- our own two eyes.
All is a miracle." -
Thich Nhat Han
"Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine
flows into trees. The winds will blow their freshness
and the storms their energy."
- John Muir
"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you,
and the storms their energy, while cares
will drop off like autumn leaves." - John Muir
I don't ask for the meaning of
the song of a bird or the rising of
the sun on a misty morning.
There they are, and they are beautiful.
