ansas City’s West Bottoms is an area of endless potential images. I shot this one as an after thought. The design of vehicles from the forties is classic; all rounded yet still streamlined, and I was attracted to the juxtaposition of the older red truck with the newer paneled truck. I only made one exposure, as I wasn’t sure of the strength of the composition. After processing, the overall feel of the work began to grow on me. I posted this image on Altphotos.com and surprisingly it garnered a relatively high rating. It is difficult to predict how an audience will react.
