Attitude | Dark interior Evening neon lights Interminable wait for service |
O
n a recent trip to Memphis, I went with a friend to Beale Street for dinner. We selected “The Pig on Beale,” advertised to be “Pork with an Attitude.” Turns out that the attitude was you might find a table, but you may never get any food. To entertain myself during the long unattended period, I made a series of photographs. Eventually we got served, and the Hickory smoked BBQ was adequate in flavor but skimpy in quantity. To further commemorate the experience, twenty five dollar T-shirts are available.
