e arrived in the West Bottoms just as the sun became obscured by clouds. A storm appeared on the northern horizon. Tumbling out of our cars and trucks, we quickly dispersed in the old warehouse district. Giant old abandoned buildings, vacant lots, and graffiti encrusted walls begged for attention. Tripods unfolded and shutters released as temperatures dropped. Wind gusts drove grit and dust into delicate eye membranes. Along came a train.
