Knob Diptych | Mature structure Maintenance challenged Beyond practical repair |
T
his is an architectural detail diptych of an old building located in Knob Noster. From the looks of it, the structure is now abandoned, or at least vacant. I found the color juxtaposition and textural elements to be interesting, and like how the two views of the same subject relate to each other. Not much more to say.
Several days ago, I posted an image of a naturally occurring drop shadow. That initiated a mini-research project to determine if I could realize a text-based drop shadow on this photo website. I didn't want to do it as an image, but rather dynamically for individual post titles. After two days of experimenting, I determined that at this juncture in web technology development, such a goal was not possible in any practical implementation.
The best I could do was to use it for my site banner heading, basically for information that is static. Depending on the browser you are using (doesn't work in MS Internet Explorer), you may be able to see the results of this effort at the top of this page.
