DD Highway

   Late in the day
Heading west
Away from Knob Noster

T his image was captured while returning from a short trip to Knob Noster state park. Tom and I hiked around on the trails for about an hour, which were quite muddy from a recent spring rain. The trees and plants were all covered in the light green of newly emerged leaves. There were flowers scattered about, but not as many as we expected.
As we headed back to Warrensburg, the light reflecting of the road caught my eye, and I made the image by shooting through the truck windshield.

“I almost never set out to photograph a landscape, nor do I think of my camera as a means of recording a mountain or an animal unless I absolutely need a 'record shot'. My first thought is always of light.” - Galen Rowell
