Cherry Blossom | Backyard Miraculous Transformation |
T
here is a small cherry tree in my garden that bursts into magnificent bloom around this time every year. It happens suddenly and fades quickly, only lasting for about one week. At its peak it is truly gorgeous. In the fall the tree is full of cherries, which I share with the birds.
Because they are such welcome sights at the end of winter, I photograph lots of flowers in April. Flowers are beautiful, but to make really good floral photographs takes great effort. Macro shots of flowers are one of the most hackneyed of subjects, therefore lighting, composition and viewpoint are decisive in the quest to make distinctive visual statements. I will be posting more soon, let me know what you think.
