Access Control System | Protective measures ensure Inviolability from hostile acts Externally instigated |

s usual, the visual elements are what first attracted me to this subject. These include the irregular paint, holes, and rust on the door, the rust on the unlatched latch, the open lock with the yellow U, and the gleaming door knob. Shinny silver against duller bluish grey. All elements working together in a unified composition in relation to the picture frame.
But on a deeper level, this is an exploration of security, an inherently fuzzy concept. Most security measures involve compromise. Like all systems, security is only as effective as its weakest link. This makes for a circumstance that favors the assailant. The guard must cover all points of attack whilst the attacker must only identify and breach one weak point.
Here we have a combination of physical security devices designed to prevent or deter attackers from accessing a facility. When initiated, these obstacles usually stop petty attackers, but will only delay resolute attackers. By themselves, therefore, they offer limited effectiveness.
