Accidental concurrence

E xploring the little forgotten town of Pleasant Hill, I spied this dilapidated auto repair facility from a distance and angled my way over. These windows are another fine example of a “found Mondrian,” always a circumstantial but coveted subject. It would have been hard to have planned this scene any better. Color made independent/dependent of nature, an abstract vehicle to investigate and represent ideas and sensations.

“Reality manifests itself as constant and objective – independent of us, but as changeable in space and time. Consequently, its reflection in us contains both properties. Mixed up in our mind, these properties are confused and we do not have a proper image of reality.” - Piet Mondrian
