Flight of Stairs | Silhouette Drops shadow Geometric subdivision |
T his one was captured on the other side of the parking garage from yesterday's post. Apparently I am in a somewhat graphic phase, with high contrast shapes the dominant theme here. The exposure was a little tricky, as I wanted to hold the detail of the sun light drenched wall and the dim dark stairs. I think the blue sky adds color relief to the otherwise monochromatic scene, and helps balance the design.
An interesting aspect of joint photographic expeditions is seeing how others address the same subjects. To see how Tom interpreted this opportunity, check out his iod dated 09Mar06.
Over the last few years we have made many trips together and photographed the same locations at virtually the same times, and yet we always return with vastly different images.
