ome buildings on the Central Missouri State University campus look like they were designed by George Jetson and his son Elroy. Ellis is a prime example of this, with its repeating peaked roof motif complete with winged flourishes. Although aesthetically dated, under the right lighting conditions, good images lurk. Here I like the negative space as much as the positive.
I used this image and the Panes image posted on March 19 to create an example of Cubism for my Digital Imaging class. You can experience this assemblage here. Cubism is an art form that I have grown to appreciate more and more over the years, and is definitely an influence on my imagery. Cubism is characterized by the reduction and fragmentation of objects and space into abstract, often geometric forms usually rendered in groups of discrete planes. It began as an intellectual revolt against the artistic expression of previous eras. I endorse cerebral revolution.
